President 2025 Spring Message
Greetings National Alumni Association of Sabine High School (NAASHS) Members, Sabine High School Alumni, Family and Friends of the Sabine Parish community.
The Board sends greetings to all this Spring 2025. As the Spring season kickoffs, the NAASHS Board wishes all great health, safety and blessings in 2025.
NAASHS is in the middle of our 2025 Scholarship Season. Two of our major goals for 2025 are scholarship initiatives:
1. Increase Funding for Scholarships: Funding scholarships are the “life blood” of our main strategy of becoming more scholarship focused. Simply, we cannot issue scholarships without funding from our members and friends. Please donate to our General Scholarship fund or sponsor and fund a scholarship in the name of someone you would like to honor.
2. Increase the Number and Amounts of Scholarships Awarded: In 2024, three scholarships were awarded with an average payout of $750-$1,000 each. Our 2025 goal is to increase both the number of scholarships awarded and the amount of each scholarship. The individual amounts depend on the scholarship sponsor.
We cannot reach our goals without the help of the alumni family and friends. Current government funding for college financial aid programs and grants is being reduced daily. Therefore, your financial support is more critical now than at any other time in our history.
Our children need our help. Education is still the key to upward economic and social mobility. Please give any amount and all amounts are greatly appreciated.
Below is some general information about the NAASHS Scholarship Program:
1. 100% of ALL scholarship donations go directly to aid students.
2. Scholarships are available for all high school graduates of Sabine Parish Schools.
3. Scholarships will be awarded during the high school graduation season.
4. Scholarship disbursements are sent directly to the applicable university after the scholarship recipient is enrolled.

If you are not a member of NAASHS, please consider joining our organization. Annual dues are $50 per calendar year. Donations to our scholarship fund and operating funds are always welcome. Membership dues and donations can be mailed to: NAASHS, PO Box 1473, Many, LA 71449.
